Yoomoot

yoomoot is a social web service aimed at making discussion more productive. It moved out of private beta in May 2010 and is based in London.
Site description
yoomoot provides an alternative to standard online discussion forums, which it considers to be too chaotic to help people reach conclusions. Discussions are structured around nested questions and answers, which can be browsed in a summarized form at the top of the page. yoomoot claims this structure is different to traditional Q&A sites because yoomoot's conversations are based around nested Q&As, rather than a single Q&A.
History
yoomoot was founded by Barbara Nowacka and Nicolas Holzapfel as a result of research at the University of the Arts London and the co-founders' frustration with inability of exist social media apps to facilitate productive discussions.
yoomoot came out of private beta in May 2010.
It plans to release a subscription-based version for private discussions and a plugin for external publishing platforms such as Wordpress.
