Yasha Malekzad

Leon Yashar Malekzad (born 1984; Norwich, Norfolk), is an English music video and film director of Persian and English descent.
Early Years
Malekzad grew up in Beccles, Suffolk and lived there until he was 19 until he left the rural area to attend De Montfort University in Leicester, England. He had a very active childhood have the oportunities to learn how to play the piano, guitar, clarinet and trumbone as well as gaining a blackbelt in the art of Kuk Sool Won and also playing national league basketball for Notre Dame Eagles. Whilst producing music in university he formed a hip-hop group called the Phoenix Quarter and when the group shot their first music video for the track entitled UK Soul he had his first experience of producing a music video.
Career
Yasha started in the film industry as a freelance producer. With no formal training he learnt on the job and started by producing low budget urban music videos. In 2009 he founded Jacuzzi Films Limited with business partner Kasra Pezeshki. Malekzad has created a number of music videos for artists such as Paulina Rubio (" Boys Will Be Boys"), Enrique Iglesias feat Ludacris ("Tonight (I'm Lovin' You)"), Enrique Iglesias (" Ayer"), Enrique Iglesias feat Pitbull (" I Like How It Feels"), Enrique Iglesias feat Usher & Lil Wayne (" Dirty Dancer"), Jodie Connor feat Tinchy Stryder (" Bring It"), JMC feat Styles P ("Wen Eva Im Home), Alex Gardner (" Feeling Fine"), Daley feat Marsha Ambrosius ("Alone Together"), Enrique Iglesias (Live In Rotterdam).
