Yanel is a Java/XML based open-source content management system/content management framework featuring versioned interfaces as an approach to provide backwards compatibility at all times and hence replacing the classical approach of periodical releases by continuous deployment. Yanel was originally started by Michael Wechner in 2006, whereas the name Yanel is an anagram of the name Lenya, because Michael was the original developer of Apache Lenya. Yanel is the first content management system which has no releases anymore and can be continuously deployed because its unique architecture of using versioned interfaces.
