Yahya Arodaki

Yahya Arodaki (April 15, 1926 - March 5, 2009) was a Syrian economist from Damascus.
Personal life
Yahya Ibrahim Said Arodaki, born April 15, 1926, Damascus, Syria, to a financially stable family, is the fifth and final son of Ibrahim Arodaki. His father died before he turned ten, and he grew up with his mother until she died.
Arodaki studied at the University of Damascus in both the faculties of law and commerce. He held bachelor's degrees in law and commerce, and a master's degree in the Salute universities' Economy Belgium.
Career
He worked in the Ministry of Economy in various positions until he reached the position of director of foreign trade of the ministry. He has had a major role in the conclusion of trade agreements between Syria and a number of Arab and foreign countries such as Algeria, Egypt, Kuwait, the former Soviet Union in 1965, the former West Germany, Cyprus, and others. He was also involved in the meetings of the council economic unit Alambthag for the League of Arab States in order to create a common Arab market in 1958. He also had a role in laying the foundations for economic exchanges and trade cooperation between the northern and southern regions during the unity between Syria and Egyptin 1958. After separation, he was appointed liquidator of the entities joint economic and including Al-Nasr.
