Abdul Salam El Termanini

Abdul Salam El Termanini (born 1913) was a Syrian lawyer and historian.
Life
He was born in Aleppo, Syria in 1913. He got a state doctorate from University of Paris in 1939. Until 1986 he lectured on law at the universities of Aleppo, Damascus, and Kuwait. Thereafter, he returned to Aleppo and remained there.
Works
He wrote many books about law and history. His best product is perhaps "Ahdath at Tarikh al Islami bi Tarteeb as Seneen" (that is, Chronology of Islam) from (1-1250 AH - 622-1834 AD). This works includes not only the historical events year by year, but also includes biographies of the well-known persons each one on the year he died. He divided this work into five parts:
# Part I, two vols., (1-250 AH - 622-864 AD).
# Part II, two vols., (251-500 AH - 865-1106 AD).
# Part III, two vols., (501-750 AH - 1107-1349 AD).
# Part IV, one vol., (751-1000 AH - 1350-1591 AD).
# Part V, one vol., (1001-1250 AH - 1592-1834 AD).
