X-plod children band, with members aged 9 to 13 was established in June 2006. X-plod band, meaning Comaroni brothers Andrei (vocal) & Cristian (guitar), had their debut in one of the Adi Manolovici’s shows, where both kids have played, in the interval, the famous AC/DC hit, TNT. Childern’s performance was very warmly received by the audience, especially because the vocalist, Andrei, was only 7 years old at that time. During the autumn of the same year, the band became bigger, another couple of brothers joining the band: Florian and Iulian, playing bass and drums. At that moment, the team work begun, in order to compose a few demo’s, sustained by a series of concerts in clubs in Bucharest - BIG MAMOU, SUBURBIA, INSULA, LA MOTOARE, UTOPIA etc, as well as in other Romanian cities as Targoviste, Brasov, Slobozia, Ploiesti, Constanta etc. Unexpectedly, from a small number of songs, X-plod portfolio grew fast to 8 original tunes, thanks to remarkable inspiration of Comaroni brothers who are the authors of these compositions. This is how the idea of releasing an album came to life. The album will be released this summer and for the moment 4 demo songs (pre-mixing) are available for fans. Starting May 2007, Iulian and Florian chose to play another kind of music, less valuable than the music proposed by the initiators of the X-plod project, and they have left the band. The choice made by these two members was auspicious for the rest of the band, who had the opportunity to refresh their constitution with two really talented members. Two new members have joined the band: Bubu Cernea, an exceptional drummer, the best in his age category, and Mihai Cerbu, a very good bass player, who started his musical career playing classic guitar, awarded with a lot of prizes in the national competitions. In this new formula, X-plod band performed a lot of “club house” concerts in order to test public reaction to the new structure of the band. The response from the public was in accordance with the members’ professional value, fan number growing from concert to concert, the presence of Bubu and Cerbu being much appreciated. The tandem Cristian - Bubu is considered by critics one of the most woven (close-knit) and promising duo in the Romanian rock music, both performances, filled with virtuosity moments, being acclaimed intensively by the audience. X-plod band keeps on going on the path towards the relish of their already numerous fans who are waiting the release of X-plod album. Recordings are over, the drums at “Vita de Vie” studio (thanks to “Pupe”) and the rest of instruments at “Trooper” studio (thanks to “Balaur” and “Coyot”, without their help this album may had never been edited…). The album includes X-plod original songs: "Noaptea Lupilor", "Rock Ad-Hock", "Vis-Aviz", "Egoistul", "Furtuna", "Piticul", "Oceanul", "Epilog". Besides these tunes, the album will contain Ciprian Porumbescu’s ballad, performed by Cristian at electric guitar and 3 covers: TNT (AC/DC), “Smoke on the water” (Deep Purple) and “Master of Puppets” (Metallica).
