Wipeout PS3 (working title) (usually styled as WipEout) is to be the next full entry in the Wipeout racing franchise and will be released on the PlayStation 3. The game may utilise a modified version of the engine from MotorStorm and will feature controls using the Sixaxis motion-sensing capabilities.
Developers confirmed a PlayStation 3 Wipeout was being worked on and stated that there would be a full announcement regarding the game in August 2007, but the announcements around that time instead detailed Wipeout HD. This high-definition Wipeout game was announced by Sony for release before Wipeout PS3 in 2008, downloadable from the PlayStation Store.
