Labelling itself a firm dedicated to the promotion of environmental public policy, Winningreen keeps a clientele of legislators and other officials concerned with environmental policies, and operates a network of organisations relating to various environmental and regulatory affairs. Winningreen has a history of releasing prepared briefs containing background information and commentary, easily attributable to their clients. Winningreen has been linked to the support of drilling in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge, refusing to release additional water into the Klamath River, and attempting to convince consumers against purchasing hybrid cars such as the Toyota Prius.
