William Dixon (MYP)

William George Dixon is a British youth politician and local activist. He has been the Member of Youth Parliament for the Wakefield East constituency since 2019, and a youth councillor since 2017. He was originally elected by young people in Wakefield to improve mental health and transport provisions in the area, but has more recently taken up an interest in education reform, environmental changes and the eradication of poverty.
As well as his role as a member of youth parliament, he also sits on the West Yorkshire Police and Crime Commisioner's Youth Advisory Group.
On his blog he has also publicised his membership of the Fabian Society, Labour Party and Wakefield Just Transition forum.
