Wilkinsons...the Opticians is a retail chain based in the south east of England which offers optician services along with spectacles, contact lenses and hearing aids in selected stores. In 2012, the chain was the 7th largest in the UK with 5 branches, located in Tonbridge, Sevenoaks, Orpington, Bromley and Maidstone. The chain was established in 1934 by William J Wilkinson. Today, it is still directed my a member of the original Wilkinson family, Mark Wilkinson. Wilkinsons...the Opticians also sell designer optical collections by Jasper Conran, Red or Dead and Face a Face. In 2009, the company had a major rebrand, changing their name from Wilkinsons Optometrists to Wilkinsons...the Opticians. References |
