Fairway Furniture is a furniture retailer in the south west of England. Founded originally in Plymouth, Devon by one John Harding, the company has been trading for 153 years (established in 1856) in the home furnishing industry and remains owned and managed by the founding Harding family, which is now into its sixth generation. Fairway have stores throughout the south west of England in St Austell, Tavistock, Newton Abbot with Plymouth being the HQ and the largest store with a showroom. The distribution centre of the company is based at Lee Mill. Their television advertisements, have become part of local popular culture, together with the phrase "Quality at the Right Price." The company is also a sponsor of Tavistock Thistles Under 13s football team which is in part due to Fairway's close ties to the town of Tavistock. |
