Weston Swifts

Weston Swifts Association Football Club are an Australian amateur club based in Weston, New South Wales. At its senior level the club participates in the Northern NSW Interdistrict Division Three, the fifth highest tier of Northern New South Wales Football.
History
Weston Swifts were formed in 1992 as an All Age club competing in the Coalfields Amateur Soccer Association competition. The club was quite successful in the CASA competition, and eventually had enough registered players to apply to join the Interdistrict competition. Weston played their first season in Interdistrict Division Three in 2002. The club's 1st Grade side finished 9th, while Reserve Grade finished the season in 6th position.
The club failed to make the semi-finals of the Third Division until the 2005 season, when they finished the year in 4th spot and were defeated in the semi-finals by Belmont.
Club colours
Weston wear all black jerseys with white trimming, black shorts and black socks. The design of the club's jersey has changed numerous times in its history, but has always maintained the traditional black and white colours.
Home ground
Weston play their home games at Varty Park (sometimes referred to as Pagans). Varty Park has been home to the Swifts since 1992, however the club did play their home fixtures at Bear Park from 2003 until 2006.
Rivalries
Weston's biggest rival is Tenambit Sharks. Both clubs have been in the Third Division for numerous seasons and have built up an intense rivalry since their inaugural fixture in 2002.
In the 2008 season, Cessnock PCYC entered the Interdistrict Third Division, which created an instant rivalry for the two clubs.
