West Chester East Academic Team

Introduction
The West Chester East Academic Competition Team is the nationally recognized Quiz Bowl team associated with West Chester East High School. The team has been successful in both local and national competition. It is split into two teams, the Varsity and Junior Varsity teams, each with their own respective record. There is a third team that competes on occasion at small weekend competitions. In addition, the teams participate annually in the National Academic Championship hosted by Questions Unlimited and on the weekly online tournament hosted by Chip Beale of Questions Unlimited.

The Teams
Varsity
* The Varsity team is coached by Mrs. Tracey Heim. They placed 9th in the Chester County Varsity League this year out of a field of 18 teams. One of their four matches comprised of a three way between sister high schools Rustin High School and . The Varsity team defeated both teams to win the first ever Challenge Cup. On Quiznet the team goes by the callsign Eastvar.

*2008 -East Varsity defeated Bayard Rustin High School and Henderson High School to win the Challenge Cup.
*2007 -Ranked 9th in the National Academic Championship
*2006 -Chester County Academic Competition Varsity Champions
*2004 -East Varsity became National Champions in Louisiana under the direction of Elise Lenthe.
