Wayne Visser

Wayne Visser (born 17 December 1970) is an author, poet, social entrepreneur, professional speaker, researcher and lecturer in sustainability, corporate social responsibility and purpose-inspired business . He is Founder and Director of the think-tank CSR International, and a part-time academic at the University of Cambridge Programme for Sustainability Leadership, and at Magna Carta College, Oxford, among others. He was born in Africa and lives in London.
Biographical details
Wayne Visser was born in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe on 17 December 1970, and moved to South Africa in 1978. He has been living in the UK since 2003.
Education
Wayne Visser obtained a PhD in Business and Management (specialized in Corporate Social Responsibility) from the International Centre for Corporate Social Responsibility, Nottingham University Business School, UK, in 2007. His other qualifications include an MSc in Human Ecology from Edinburgh University, UK, and a Bachelor of Business Science with Honours in Marketing from Cape Town University, South Africa.
Career
Wayne Visser is Founder and Director of the think-tank CSR International, which he established in 2009. In addition, Wayne is Senior Associate at the University of Cambridge Programme for Sustainability Leadership, Visiting Professor of Sustainability at Magna Carta College, Oxford, and Adjunct Professor of CSR at La Trobe Graduate School of Management, Australia. Previously, Wayne Visser was Director of Sustainability Services for KPMG and Strategy Analyst for Cap Gemini in South Africa.
