Wayne Alwan-Arab

Wayne Alwan-Arab (born 28 February 1982 in Zimbabwe) is a British professional boxer, now residing in Hackney, London. He competes in the middleweight division.
Career
Since turning professional he has been predominantly self-trained and works as a fitness instructor. However, he did spend eight weeks training at Freddie Roach's Wildcard gym in Los Angeles. Alwan-Arab also trained with Floyd Mayweather, senior in 2009 in the U.S.A.
alongside close friend Eder Kurti. He is managed by London promoter Michael Helliet.
On 2 October 2008, Alwan Arab defeated Matt Scriven at a dinner show hosted by the Mayfair Sporting Club at the Café Royal, Piccadilly, and on 23 April 2009 (St George's Day), Alwan Arab defeated Paul Royston at another dinner show at the Millennium Hotel Mayfair.
Philanthropy
In 2009 Alwan-Arab donated 10% of his purse from his fight against Wayne Downing at the Troxy on a Micky Helliet promotion to
Aids charities in Africa. Furthermore he helps in the running of Righteous Fighters, an organisation that helps troubled youngsters through boxing.<ref name="hackneygazette1"/>
