Waterfest

Waterband's Waterfest is an annual two-day music, camping and arts festival that focuses on global water issues & showcases a very diverse variety of music. Over the course of the event, styles may include; Funk, Rock, Jam Band, Reggae, Folk music and more. Since 2008, Waterband's Waterfest has brought many bands to the Midwest during the summer season. There are two main stages that alternate bands so that festival goers experience music all day and into the night.
The event focuses on golbal water issues such as trans-boundaries, sanitation, filtration, water wells, wetlands and rivers. In addition, special events during the festival are focused to draw attention to global water issues through Waterband's Wishing Well.
Waterband's Waterfest also showcases non-profit organizations from the Waterband Wishing Well with an emphasis on organizations who strive to help with world water issues. Information and demonstrations include everything from environmental awareness to social consciousness.
This year, Waterband's Waterfest will take place July 8, 9, 10, 2011 at Slippery Rock Dunes Campground, Slippery Rock Pennsylvania.
