Kapil Chopra completed his masters in Economics from Punjabi University, Patiala in 1995. He is a university topper in academics, national level sportsperson, quiz master and a self trained artist. He is a well decorated person who has been awarded three university colours, two Rolls of Honour and many more awards and honours in the fields of Fine Arts, Quiz, Sports and Academics. A winner of the various National and other Inter-university Youth Festival in the field of Fine Arts and Quiz. He is a practicing sculptor whose sculptures are the part of various private and institutional art collections including the Art Gallery of Punjabi University, Patiala. Recently at the Punjabi University Inter-Zonal Youth Festival Dr. Satish Verma, Director Youth Welfare Punjabi University Patiala has claimed him as a 'super star product of Punjabi University, Patiala' in the field of Fine Arts (as actors Raj Babber, Om Puri, Binnu Dhillon, Rana Ranbir and singers Gurdas Maan and Manpreet Akhtar etc.). He alongwith his associates, is promoting art by organising art competitions, workshops, demonstrations and exhibitions for the last around ten years. He is currently employed as an Assistant Professor of Economics at D.A.V. College, Hoshiarpur, he has been the coordinator of IGNOU Study Centre 2216 and is also associated with aarzgallery.com (an online art gallery for promotion of art) and Devki Foundation (a charitable organisation for the promotion of art, culture, education and research). He is a celebrated quiz master and renowned author with six books on Economics and Competitive Examinations and many more contributions to various edited books to his credit.He also delivers talks on various social issues.
