Users of Waspit consist of consumers and merchants. A consumer simply links their credit card, debit card, bank account or PayPal account to the phone number allocated to their mobile device. This is done via a simple and secure online registration process. A merchant links to Waspit via an API which enables the merchant to collect remittances and then transfer funds to a nominated account linked to their .

Waspit targets mobile commerce, e-commerce, social networks, and the younger demographic to create an ecosystem for the platform to operate within.

Waspit provides greater commercial returns to its merchants than alternate mobile payment method such as PSMS.

Consumers can simply send and receive payments by initiating an SMS prompt with Waspit, and the amount of the transaction will then be recorded on the consumers account statement.

How does it work?
Waspit links the customers debit/credit card or PayPal to a mobile number through the online sign-up process. Money can then be sent and received by sending a text. The transaction is confirmed by answering a security question sent by Waspit.

Security?
Waspit is heavily regulated, and is Payment Card Industry Compliant. The system doesn’t require a traditional four digit PIN. When a customer registers with Waspit they are asked a few personal questions that only they would know the answer to. These are the verification questions that insure only the right person can access the account.
