The term walking away or the decision by someone to walk away from a situation or organization is the act of simply abandoning the operation of a business, a non-profit organization, a social group or any other entity of that type. If a person becomes disinterested in a social club, they may cease going to meetings. If a person moves out of the area of the club without notice, it is said that they have walked away from the club. If everyone simply walks away, the organization becomes defunct as it ceases to exist. If enough people walk away that a functioning organization can no longer operate, the remaining persons may have to actually perform the operations to close the organization. |
