VoucherCodes.co.uk is a UK based website which enables consumers to search for money saving coupons from a range of retailers, restaurants and service providers. Based in Clerkenwell, London, VoucherCodes.co.uk is part of WhaleShark Media. The site has over five million registered users and uses affiliate networks to track transactions with retailers, generating commission when consumers transact through the site.
History
VoucherCodes.co.uk was founded in August 2008 by Econversions, an online marketing company started by brothers Duncan and Max Jennings. In September 2009, VoucherCodes.co.uk launched Gutschein-Codes.de, its Berlin based sister website, servicing the German voucher and deals market.
In August 2011 VoucherCodes.co.uk was acquired by WhaleShark Media, one of the world’s largest marketplaces for online coupons and deals. WhaleShark Media is based in Austin, Texas, and is funded by venture capital firms Austin Ventures, Norwest Venture Partners and Google Ventures.
Awards
VoucherCodes.co.uk has won several times at The Performance Marketing Awards (formally a4u Awards) since its launch in 2009. The Awards celebrate innovation and diversity within the UK's affiliate marketing industry.

iPhone app
VoucherCodes.co.uk’s iPhone app was released in September 2011 on iTunes. The app features deals and offers from a range of merchant partners including restaurants, attractions and high streets retailers. During September 2011, the VoucherCodes.co.uk app was ranked number one in the UK iTunes Free App chart. In March 2012 the app hit one million iTunes Store downloads.
