Votorantim Metais

Votorantim Metais is a Brazilian mining company subsidiary of the Brazilian comglomerate Votorantim Group. Was founded in 1981 and is based in São Paulo. The company ranks among the six largest zinc producer in the world, apart from controlling the Latin American leadership in the production of the nickel and of the Brazilian market of primary aluminum.
In Brazil, operates four plants and seven captive mines located in the states of Sao Paulo, Minas Gerais and Goiás. In the world, the zinc's operations include the refinery of Cajamarquilla in Peru and stake in the Peruvian mining company Milpo, four metallurgical plants in United States and one in China.
