Von Haulshoven

Von Haulshoven is the pseudonym of Dutch musician Eppie E. Hulshof. He was influenced by a lot of notable musicians of the 1970s (for instance K.K. Downing) and started playing classical guitar with nylon strings at the age of 17. After a few years, he switched to electric guitar and played in a few rock bands.
Hearing the music of Klaus Schulze changed his style, after buying his first synthesizer in 1978. From then Von Haulshoven played less rock and more electronic music. He began to experiment a lot with electronics and his guitar, and taped it on cassette recorders. He eventually stopped playing in bands in the early 1990s and turned completely to solo electronic music. At that time he produced a few albums on the Dutch label Quantum records under his own name.
Eppie Hulshof sometimes cooperates with Bert Hulshoff of Phrozenlight under the name Dutch Space Mission.
