Eric Maldonado

Eric Maldonado is a young shred guitarist born in California in 1995. He is best known for winning 1st place in the Lincoln Brewster "Show Me What You've Got" guitar contest and was picked by Lincoln himself.
At the age of 8 he started playing the guitar and playing songs that his father taught him. After not feeling any improvement, he quit playing the guitar. At the age of 12 he picked it up again and never stopped. During this time he was influenced heavily by 80's guitarists like Eddie Van Halen, Steve Vai, Joe Satriani, and Randy Rhoads. He would practice up to 10 hours a day learning Van Halen, Steve Vai, Whitesnake, and Racer X songs by ear. Eric is entirely self-taught.
