</noinclude>The Voltcan Energy Company, or VE Energy (TSX: VEE) is a multinational Canadian technology company incorporated in Province of Québec. Voltcan is known for inventing the technologies behind the Instant water heater concept.
HISTORY
In 1990, Québec-born Denis Dufour opened a new research facility in St-Romuald, Québec. Out of the facility came the technologies that made the instant water heater possible for cold regions.
In 2008 Gestion K.Dore and DDA energy inc. Partners acquired Energen industries . The new company, named Voltcan Energy, is based in Lévis, Qc. VEE is a leading provider of instant water heater solutions. Energen maintains a minority ownership position in VEE.
CRIMINAL CONVICTION
VEE has faced criminal action regarding its Patents. VEE was not convicted but remains under a 10 years suspension regarding German
trades.
JOB CUTS
On Mar, 2002, VEE announced job cuts as well as a restructuring of its finance unit, warning that fourth quarter results will be at the low end of previous projections.
CORPORATE AFFAIRS
VEE is a multinational organisation headquartered in Lévis, Québec.
In 2005 VEE launched its "RADIANT 2005" initiative in an attempt to position itself as a "green" company. VEE is currently one of the biggest players in Canada in the radiant power industry, and it is also developing new environment-friendly products such as Solar powered heater.
On May 10, 2007, Voltcan Energy announced it would sell its VEE Pool division to Québec based pool manufacturer Groupe Piscine inc. for net proceeds of $1.6 million. The transaction took place on July 31, 2007, and the company name changed to Greider pool products inc., with Michel Bourassa as CEO.
CEO
Max Dore is the current chairman of the board and chief executive officer of Voltcan Energy. He was selected to replace Denis Dufour. Previously, Dore had headed Groupe Réflexion's transports Systems division (now Transport Morneau) as its President and CEO. He has been with VEE since 2007.
CORPORATE RECOGNITION
In 2007, VEE was named number 210 company for employers and employees on the Québec 500 Player list.
Over the years VEE has received several awards honoring them for their accomplishments, values and reputation:

* In PME's 2006 "Québec's Most Admired Companies" list, VEE ranked 108 overall. (March 2006)
