Virool is a platform for brands to distribute longer form video content from YouTube to targeted audiences mainly via Facebook and mobile applications. The company's product is similar to Adwords in that it uses an auction-based system that allows advertisers to decide much they want to pay-per-view for each video watched.<ref name="TC1"/> The company graduated from the Y Combinator tech incubator.<ref name="FOR"/> History Co-founder and CEO Alex Debelov launched the startup in March 2012.<ref name="FOR"/> The company has raised $6.62 million in venture capital funding from investors such as Gmail creator Paul Buchheit, Loopt co-founder Sam Altman and Troy Carter, manager to Lady Gaga, Thomvest Ventures, Menlo Ventures, Draper Fisher Jurvetson, Yuri Milner, Phenomenon Ventures, TMT Investments, DominateFund and FundersClub. As of 2013, the company had more than 30,000 registered advertisers.<ref name="MASH"/>
