Viral syndrome

Viral syndrome is a type of illness or disease caused by the presence of a virus/viruses in the body. There are hundreds of different kinds of viruses. A physicain may diagnose viral syndrome when symptoms suggest a viral illness, but the definite virus has not been identified.
Symptoms
Symptoms of a viral syndrome include sinus congestion, fatigue, sore throat, swollen glands, headache, cough, nausea, vomiting, muscles aches, diarrhea, fever, and rash or it may just produce a general feeling of not being well.
Treatment
Antibiotics are ineffective in a viral disease. Common treatment is rest, a lot of liquids, and paracetamol or NSAID medications for pain and fever.
