Victor W. Hwang

Victor W. Hwang, born May 27, 1971, is an American writer, entrepreneur, and venture capitalist.
He is CEO, co-founder & Managing Director of T2 Venture Capital. He is Executive Director of an international conference on building innovation ecosystems, the Global Innovation Summit. Victor is primary author, along with co-author Greg Horowitt, of the book The Rainforest: The Secret to Building the Next Silicon Valley.
He is past President of Larta Institute, an organization commercializing technology funded by government agencies, including the National Science Foundation and the National Institutes of Health. Victor, a Kauffman Fellow, is co-founder of Liquidity Corporation, a water purification company. He was Chief Strategy Officer of Veatros, a video search company, where he led the company's acquisition by DivX.
Victor was awarded the German Marshall Memorial Fellowship
Education
Hwang received his undergraduate degree of A.B. from Harvard University and his J.D. from the University of Chicago Law School.

The Rainforest
The book proposes a new economic model to explain the behavior of innovation systems such as Silicon Valley and proposes implementation frameworks to foster innovation in other markets.
