Glenn L. Cooper (1953-) is an American author. He wrote his first book Secret of Seventh Son (Library of the dead in the UK), and its sequel Book of Souls. He has a degree in archaeology from Harvard University and a medical degree from Tufts University School of Medicine. After practicing internal medicine, he started conducting clinical trians for Eli Lilly both in the United States and England. Cooper has participated in the development, approval and commercialization of numerous drugs, including Prozac, Axid, Lorabid, Ceclor, SANCTURA, Supprelin-LA, and Vantas. He later served as chairman and CEO of a biotechnology company in Massachusetts. After his firm was acquired by another company in 2009, he turned his attention to creative writing of both screen plays and novels. His production company, Lascaux Pictures, produced his first feature film, Long Distance, which was sold for distribution at the Tribeca Film Festival. His third novel, The Tenth Chamber was published in 2010.
