VeriSend
VeriSend is VeriCoin's transaction mixing service, which attempts to anonymize user transactions by hiding the send and receive connection from the world. It uses mixing cycles which represents the amount of time an amount of VeriCoin sits within ring nodes, washing from wallet to wallet. Each cycle takes between 30-90 minutes. You can opt for up to 15 mixing cycles, and each additional mixing cycles makes your transaction harder to track (although not impossible).
VeriBit
VeriBit is a service which accepts VeriCoin payment for Bitcoin transactions. Possibly setting a new precedent for alternative cryptocurrencies, which often struggle to gain merchant acceptance. This service allows VeriCoin to be spent, wherever Bitcoin is accepted.
Developers
Unlike many other altcoins, Vericoin has a very dedicated and efficient development team. They are completely open and are often communicating with the community via IRC, Twitter & Hangouts. This is one of many reasons why Vericoin stands out from other crypto-currencies. The current developers are Partick Nosker, David Boehm and Douglas Pike.
David Boehm entered the cryptoworld with Dogecoin. He attended Rutgers University with Pat and received his undergraduate and Master's degree in Computer Science with highest honors. David is currently working for a small software company in Washington as a Software Development Engineer for a cloud computing group.
Patrick Nosker started mining Bitcoin in late 2009 and then went on to mine Litecoin, Dogecoin and BlackCoin. He studied Molecular Biology and Biochemistry as an undergraduate at Rutgers University and received high honors. He is currently pursuing a dual PhD in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology as well as Computational Biology and Molecular Biophysics. Pat holds 3 US patents and is co-inventor of five more including one on influenza therapeutics along with Doug Pike.
Douglas Pike was introduced to cryptocurrency by Pat Nosker. Since then he has passionately researched BitCoin and AltCoins. He concluded that a successful cryptocurrency required a stable community and innovative features, resulting in his Co-Creating VeriCoin with Pat. His Computational Biophysics work includes being the lead developer of a novel protein design software library, as well as an author of numerous scientific publications.
