Venketa Parthasarathy

Venketa Ranganathan Parthasarathy (December 10, 1954) is an Indian-American pulp and paper chemist and chemical engineer, known for his ground-breaking work on chlorine-free bleaching chemistry and wood pulp. He holds a United States patent on two-stage oxygen delignification. After completing secondary school in India, he attended Madurai University and Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee. He received his masters at the Norwegian Institute of Technology and his doctorate from North Carolina State University. He currently resides in the United States and is employed by Weyerhaeuser.
