Velmarie Berlingeri

Velmarie Berlingeri Marin (1960- ) is a puertorican business woman who on November 11 2008 was named administrator of La Fortaleza by Governor-Elect Luis Fortuno.
Life and Career
Ms. Berlingeri was born in Ponce, Puerto Rico to Antonio Berlingeri and Velma Marin. Her father was on the cabinet for former Governor Luis A. Ferre. Her mother was a good friend of first lady Kate Donnelly. She went to school at Cristo Rey High School and recived a bachelor’s degree from UPR on Administration. She worked at V.Suarez as a stockbroker and then she got a job at El Banco Gubernamental de Fomento. Ms. Berlingeri is currently the administrative vicepresident of El Banco Gubernamental de Fomento. On November 11, 2008 she was appointed as administrator of the executive mansion La Fortaleza by Luis Fortuno. Ms Berlingeri stated that her priority is the economy. She will try to make a difference and bring her country forward. Ms. Berlingeri also stated that every citizen has to help and put in a little effort.
