VAD 43 MRC Klang Chapter

Volunteer Aid Detachment 43 or better known as VAD 43 is a social service team established on 8 May 1999 under the supervision of Malaysian Red Crescent (MRC), Klang Chapter. Consists of multi-talented, multiracial members, passionate in serving the society. Very supportive to the Chapter and have been the backbone to the success of MRC Klang Chapter since the beginning. Specialized in many fields such as first aid, marching, social events, experimental camping and many more. Besides benefiting the society, the team also serves as a platform for human capital development and racial integration.
Voluntary Aid Detachment 43 (VAD 43) or Pasukan Bantuan Sukarela 43 (PBS 43) is team that concerns itself with the development and training of youth members in Klang Chapter. Our team was established in the year 1999, and ever since we have organized many successful and beneficial activities for the youth of Red Crescent.

Our teams main objectives are to develop the future leaders of the society and instill a sense of belonging and pride in being a Malaysian. Most importantly, we would like to cultivate the spirit of togetherness and core values of Henry Dunant!!! Dicipline, friendship, motivation and self development are all part and parcel of our team values. Malaysia Boleh!

VAD 43’s core strategy is to gather all our ex-RC members from the various schools in Klang, Selangor & Malaysia and to let them integrate, contribute, exchange ideas and knowledge, learn more about the society whilst having a sense of adventure, fun & excitement! We are actively involved in all youth activities, community based activities & national activities.

We also want to develop the future leaders of the society and instill a sense of belonging and pride in being a Malaysian Red Crescent Society member. Most importantly, we would like to cultivate the spirit and core values of Henry Dunant!!! Dicipline, friendship, selfless service, motivation and self development are all part and parcel of our VAD.

The membership of VAD 43 consist of a team of young, energetic and experienced young adults (professionals, undergraduates, teachers and students) who are well trained and experienced in handling youth and youth activities. We have a membership of about 80 members between the age groups of 18 - 30.Our team consist of multiracial members .

Attributes of VAD 43
1. VAD 43 is a proactive team of volunteers who are passionate about contributing their time, energy, ideas and effort to the society.They love to volunteer!
2. VAD 43 runs its team in accordance to the guidelines set in Guide Book No.3.
3. VAD 43 has a strong membership of 88 members with the capability of getting 60% of their members to actively participate in public duties, society events & disasters.
4. VAD 43 consist of committed members who are also doing well in their life (work , studies) while contributing to the society!
5. VAD 43 always supports and promotes Red Crescent and its values through its activities.
6. VAD 43 is a multiracial team and they apply & promote the concept of 1Malaysia through racial integration and harmony.They are the living proof!
7. VAD 43 has many communication channels to keep their members updated and informed : quarterly newsletters, block emails, Facebook account, Friendster account, weekly discussions and meetings.
*There is never a day or week without a VAD 43 member in HQ!
8. VAD 43 serves as a platform for individual improvement. They believe in developing human capital and they share their resources & people network.
9. VAD 43 organizes a wide range of events from huge mega events, to humanitarian activities, to get-togethers, to first aid courses.You name it, they've done it!
10. VAD 43 members are passionate and always contribute their time to attend public first aid duties, courses, chapter activities & most importantly dedicate their time to train and develop RC youth units in Klang.
11. VAD 43 holds a very big responsibility in upgrading the knowledge and skills of the RC youth in Klang. They make the society relevant and up to date making it the society of choice in most schools in Klang!
12. VAD 43 is not your typical run of the mill VAD. They are passionate, innovative and always looking for new ideas and ways to make volunteerism, leadership and brand the society and keep its flag flying high.
13. VAD 43 has studied the market pattern and trends and they organize events from courses to camps to first aid competition to fundraising events and bazaars to cater to the people! They dedicate their time to Red Crescent
