Víctor Serrano

Víctor Sanchez Serrano (born 20 September 1949) is a Puerto Rican long-distance runner. He competed in the at the 1976 Summer Olympics.

Serrano is from Coamo, Puerto Rico.
Career
Serrano was selected as part of the Puerto Rican delegation to the 1972 Saint Silvester Road Race where he finished 23rd. He would later be selected to run at two other Saint Silvester races.
Serrano finished in 3rd place at the 1975 Puerto Rican Hispanic Half Marathon in New York City, running a time of 1:13:31.
In November 1976, Serrano was one of three representatives from the Puerto Rico Amateur Athletics Association at the Berwick Marathon.
Serrano was scheduled to start the 1977 Boston Marathon, but he never ran the race. In November 1977, Serrano was the top Inter-American University of Puerto Rico finisher at the NCAA Division III men's cross country championships on a snow-filled course in Ohio. Most of his teammates had never seen snow before, and Serrano was "frightened" when his chest began hurting due to the cold weather but persevered to finish in 20th place.
Serrano set his marathon personal best of 2:30:16 hours at the 1978 Boston Marathon.
