An style of freerunning based on a mixture of traditional Parkour/Freerunning, Martial Arts, Acrobatics, and stunting. History The term was originally coined by Xin Sarith Azuma Wuku when explaining what he does would be called.. The term is a play of words on the name given to Xin by his fans on the internet after his video went into the millions of views(currently over 30 million). . In the previous website of EMCMONKEYS.COM Xin explained how he trained for a long time and eventually compiled a "Freerunning" video of himself. With lots of the freerunning community denying what he did was actual freerunning due to the lack of any running, Xin continued to do this style of freerunning as well as work on his group the EMC Monkeys. EMC Monkeys The group began as a project by Xin and several other martial artists displaying their freerunning abilities on Youtube to gain fame as a stunt team and slowly evolved more into a Martial Arts Stunt Team working on movies, live performances, and online video clips. 3RUN Another group to popularize this type of freerunning is the group of 3Run. 3Run has long displayed their abilities as freerunners through their online video clips and have been enveloped by the media into commercials and movies as well. Their mixture of freerunning, martial arts, and acrobatics had them evolve more into an urban ninjism team than a traditional parkour team.
