The Big J Show is an American morning radio show hosted by Big J (Jason Harris) on KRSQ Hot 101.9 in Billings, MT. The show launched in September 2004. The Boss Controversy In June of 2005, Ty Pennington from Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, was in Billings, MT building a house and filming an episode of his show. Pennington's publicity people set up a phone interview on the Big J Show, only to cancel the interview the following morning. Big J proceeded to call out Pennington on-air and listeners called in with stories claiming Ty Pennington did very little work on the house, was rude, misted himself with water to look like he was sweating, etc. During the conversation, Ty Pennington called into the show to defend himself. The interaction made national headlines, including TMZ.com Santa Clause For A Cause Each Christmas, Big J takes 2 months to get needy families some gifts during his yearly promotion, Santa Clause For A Cause These families would have no gifts otherwise. Big J uses his morning show to nominate families, distribute the families to listeners, collect the gifts, and surprise the needy families with a way bigger Christmas than they would have had. In 2009, Big J plans to help 65 families. The program is currently in its 5th year. Awards In 2008, Big J won 5:01 Blog's first annual secret local celebrity crush poll. Big J was awarded with the 2009 Billings Outpost Tuney Award for Best Radio DJ.
