Untitled Howie Day third album

Howie Day has recorded a yet-to-be titled third studio album with co-producers Mike Flynn (The Fray) and Kevin Griffin (Better Than Ezra). Originally scheduled for an early 2007 release, the album is now tentatively scheduled for release sometime in 2008.

Since touring for Stop All the World Now, Day is now managed by Jordan Feldstein and Kevin Spellman of Career Artist Management (Taylor Hicks, Sara Bareilles).

Recording

Day returned to the studio with producer Warren Huart and several veterans from Stop All the World Now including London drummer Laurie Jenkins and keyboardist Tim Vine. Several tracks including "Be There" and "No One Else" (previously titled 'Been There') were co-written with Jump Little Children frontman, Jay Clifford. Travis McNabb of Better Than Ezra provides the drumming for the album.

Track listing

The existence of a leaked copy of the third album has been confirmed with several tracks having been heard by fans.

The track list to the supposed unmastered copy of the third album is as follows:

# "Be There" (Howie Day, Jay Clifford)
# "Longest Night"
# "From Here"
# "Oxygen"
# "No One Else " (Howie Day, Jay Clifford)
# "Undressed"
# "Sound the Alarm"
# "Miracle"
# "So Much Love"
# "Obvious"
# "Ceasefire"
# "Damaged"

On February 8, 2008, Day posted a message to his MySpace site, along with a new song from the upcoming album. The song, "Everyone Loves to Love a Lie", is a track not featured on the leaked track list (although the song is labeled "Miracle" on his hand written setlists at recent shows). Also in the message, Day stated he was still working on the album and hoped to finish up sometime in the spring. Thus, the leaked track list is either a fake, or simply tracks he recorded in 2006 and 2007 with Kevin Griffin producing, which may be a scrapped project at this juncture.
