Untitled Horror Comedy

Untitled Horror Comedy is a horror feature that was produced in Central Texas in the first quarter of 2009. It was one of the only full length feature films produced in Texas in 2009 before the motion picture incentive package was passed by the Texas Legislature.
Plot
The Cast and Crew of a shoe string budget horror film are in for more than they bargained for when they travel to a desolate house in the woods run by the eccentric Aunt Bee. A cross between Living in Oblivion & Hostel this schlock n shock blend of comedy and horror will leave you asking the question Who will make the cut?
Production
The production utilized both the HPX170 and the HVX200 simultaneously to film multiple angles at once to greatly speed up the production process. Principal photography only took ten days with two days of reshoots. The movie was then edited in Final Cut Pro using the multiclip functionality and partially edited on site. This allowed shots to be viewed in near finished form the same day they were shot, thus having retakes take place the same day if necessary greatly reducing the time needed to finish the movie. The rough cut was done five days after principal photography wrapped with final post production wrapped up less than two months later. Thus allowing the movie screen at the Texas Frightmare Weekend on May 1st 2009 , which was only three months since the start of principal photography. This would have been impossible with film or even a few years ago with HD. The advancement of HD codecs and how FInal Cut Pro handles the data, no longer necessitated the need to edit the movie offline and to use digital intermediates. The data from the camera was in it's native resolution with no need to reconfirm at the end of the post production process.
The Movie Starred number a number of established charter actors including Ryan Wickerham, Melody Chase, Jason Konopisos and David Precopia and featured Robert Z'Dar, Joe Estevez, and Emmy Nominated Larry Thomas. Thus giving a quality to the film usually reserved for productions of a higher budget.
Naming
The producers had a difficult time coming up with a proper name for the movie. Due to the unique plot and film within a film aspect, in coming up with a proper name the movie didn't lend itself to naming in a convential aspect. During the screening at Texas Frightmare Weekend, the casst and crew ran a contest to properly name the movie but after the name suggestions came in, the consensus was that the most logical name was to leave it "untitled" in that it was most fitting to the overall plot of the movie itself.
