The film was shot in 16 days in January 2010 in both Feilding and Palmerston North. The film is independently backed by private investors and Ryan Freeman himself. The budget of believed to be NZD$15,000 is one of the smallest in New Zealand history. The film was shot on the 'Red Camera'. It is one of many low budget feature films coming out of New Zealand without the aid of the New Zealand Film Commission.
