Arma Shahidi Fitzgerald is best known for her title of Mrs. International and her foundation, The Fight Oral Cancer Foundation. She was crowned Mrs. International in 2009 at the 22nd Annual Mrs. International Pageant and founded The Fight Oral Cancer Foundation during that time . Competing against 48 other women, Arma was crowned and quickly began her fight for oral cancer awareness and early detection. Parastoo , a Persian publication, covered the story of both Arma and her mother, former Ms. Iran. Advocacy and Foundation Arma founded the Fight Oral Cancer Foundation. NBC News covered her work with the foundation and the importance of early detection and risk factors such as HPV. The foundation's purpose is to raise funds to increase awareness, aid in early detection of Oral Cancer and fund research. |
