Until The Light Takes Us is a 2008 documentary film about black metal music. The film explores the uprising of the underground subgenre of metal music, and the lifestyle of its most headlining artists, as well as the various events and controversies that surround its roots. The film features interviews with Gylve "Fenriz" Nagell, Varg Vikernes, Jan Axel "Hellhammer" Blomberg, Kjetil "Frost" Haraldstad, Ivar Bjørnson, Abbath and Demonaz, Kris "Garm" Rygg, Bjarne Melgaard, Harmony Korine, and more. It is directed and produced by Audrey Ewell and Aaron Aites and will premiere at film festivals in the near future. The filmmakers moved to Norway and filmed for two years.
