University of Metaphysical Sciences

University of Metaphysical Sciences is a subsidiary of Wisdom of the Heart Church , and is a non-profit spiritual school focused on teaching meditation techniques and self inquiry. University of Metaphysical Sciences has more than 6000 students world wide and is located in Arcata, California as a distance learning institution. Students earn Bachelors, Masters and Doctorate D.D. and Ph.D. degrees in metaphysical subjects. The course material is non-secular.
The school offers approximately 80 courses in various spiritual subjects, including both written material and 70 meditations to accompany the courses in order to give the student the "lab" experience that he or she would have in a live classroom. Courses cover subjects such as Astral Projection, Lucid Dreaming, Life Purpose, Meditation for Children, Self Realization, Angels, Meditation Skills, Manifesting Skills and Law of Attraction as well as Practitioner Ethics, Building a Spiritual Business, and Attracting Clients. The course curriculum is quite extensive and covers almost every type of spiritual subject.
History
In 2000-2003, research was done by a team of 40 writers and teachers specializing in the subjects they were assigned to write about in order to create the courses and curriculum. Thousands of books, media and different points of view are covered in every course in order to give an unbiased and non-exclusive presentation of material. In 2004, University of Metaphysical Sciences opened to the public.
Present
Presently, University of Metaphysical Sciences is opening branches in other countries and translating courses into other languages. Cuenca, Ecuador is where the first branch and live campus is being built at this time so students can study in person. University of Metaphysical Sciences is also a sponsor of the World Peace Meditation Group.
Background
Christine Breese, Ph.D. is the founder of University of Metaphysical Sciences. The philosophy of the school is based on New Thought types of spiritual studies.
