Universal Telecom is an international Telecom company which is part of the Timepiece LDA group. The head office is in Madeira, and it is a Portuguese company. Universal Telecom provides a range of services within the span of the telecoms market, including fixed telephone, mobile phone, Internet and VOIP through broadband. The company introduces itself in 1998 as a prefix operator in Sweden, and the following year also with preselect. A major change to the company came in 2005 when Telias monopoly ends and Universal can also offer fixed subscriptions. Since then Universal Telecom AB has continued to expanded and is today one of the biggest operators in the country. |
