United Kingdom Drug Discovery Consortium (UKDDC) is a UK based consortium of non-industry organizations committed to improving human health via the discovery and development of novel small molecule therapeutics.

UKDDC members are non-industry based drug discovery organizations, who conduct “pharma-like” drug discovery with the goal of partnering projects with pharmaceutical, biotech or public-private partnerships, to ensure progression into the clinic.

History
The UK Drug Discovery Consortium was founded in 2008. The first symposium is to take place on March 11 in London was entitled "21st Century Drug Discovery: A New Approach".
Objectives and purpose of the consortium
* To provide an alternative source of quality drug leads and candidates for pharma, biotech and public-private partnerships
* To enhance the profile of non-industry based drug discovery in the UK
* To provide education and training for building integrated drug discovery operations in academic settings
* To exchange knowledge and know how between consortium members for more effective drug discovery programs
* To give consortium members access to specialised resources in a cost effective manner
