Tymm Hoffman

Tymm Hoffman is a founding member of the hip-hop group The Dyslexics based in Atlanta, Georgia. Created in 2001, The Dyslexics pulled from their vast knowledge of old school hip-hop and incorporated a live band to try and bring a fresh sound to the current stale feel of the hip-hop world at the time. With rhyming partners Frankie Loscavio and Tony Reames, The Dyslexics have turned out 2 full albums and been part of various compilations as well as multiple South Eastern tours.

Tymm Hoffman has recently gotten involved in international adoption and the plight of the children in Africa. The global orphan problem is on the rise and Tymm Hoffman is actively involved in bringing that information to the eyes of many so that this problem can be tackled by caring people across the globe. Tymm Hoffman and his wife Laura are currently in the process of adopting a child from Ethiopia as well as a child from China.

In late 2007, Tymm and Laura were referred a son in Ethiopia that they would be traveling to bring home in mid 2008. In January of 2008 they received the devestating news that their son had passed away while at the orphanage. This has inspired Tymm and Laura to create the the Brighton Asher Fund to bring awareness and aid to the massive nutrition problem associated with infants and their care in Ethiopia and other African countires. Their first program is slated to be the Eat Right - Sleep Tight campaign to raise awareness of how important infant nutrition is for proper development.

You can keep up with their adoption story and process at their blog at http://www.babyhoffman.com which has become a resource of theirs dedicated to helping those who want to know more about adoption and the global orphan problem.
