Twinsplay

twinsplay is a desktop window and session manager for Microsoft Windows systems. It allows the user to organize his/her desktop by tiling windows side-by-side, and saving/loading entire multiple-window sessions.
twinsplay is positioned as productivity tool, targeted at power users. It provides the functionality of a tiling window manager, a virtual desktop manager and a session manager for the desktop.
Features
The application runs in background, and appears in system tray.
To order windows to the left or the right of the screen, the user may either middle-click on the window title or use keyboard shortcuts. Another shortcut may be used to restore a window to its original size. This feature is mostly useful to owners of widescreen dislpays.
Same middle-click menu enables sending windows to another virtual desktop. This functionality is reminiscent of the Mac OS X Spaces virtual desktop manager.
By clicking on the tray icon, the user may access the session management menu. It allows to save some or all of the currently open windows as a named "session", and later choose one of these sessions to restore the opened windows.
Another keyboard shortcut causes twinsplay to paste the current working directory of the user's file manager (Total Commander and windows explorer are supported)..
The software is closed-source, with a fully-functional trial version available from the manufacturer's website.
Known issues
In some cases, the sessions restored by twinsplay's session manager will differ from the original. For example, a Firefox window may open without the original internal tabs, which are managed by Firefox's own session manager.
