Rusty Mike Sports is the only sports show on Rusty Mike Radio, which is the only all-English radio station in all of Israel. It airs live on Wednesday evenings at 9:00 P.M., Israel time. The mission of the show is to bring authentic American-style sports talk radio to Israel as well as to promote American sports in Israel. In addition to American sports scores and update, the show is driven by listener interest (measured by call-ins and instant chats), and features interviews with figures in the Israeli sports world. Recently featured guests on Rusty Mike Sports include Yuri Foreman (the first ever Israeli Jewish boxing champion), Dijon Thompson (a former U.C.L.A. player who currently plays for Hapoel Jerusalem), Jeremy Last (the sports editor for the Jerusalem Post), and Uriel Sturm (the commissioner of the Israel Football League). The two hosts for the program are Andrew Gershman and Ari Louis. Gershman is a graduate of Salem State College in Salem, Massachusetts. He holds a post-baccalaureate degree in Human Resource Management from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia. Louis studied broadcasting at Arizona State University and had a popular sports show in Tucson, Arizona, titled "Louis Live." Louis has done college football play by play and was a frequent guest on the Jeff Dean show of Phoenix, Arizona. Rusty Mike Radio was featured in the December 4th issue of the Jerusalem Post.
