TWC Classics

TWC Classics is a popular website that contains information about The Weather Channel. The site includes videos of the local forecast, OCMs (On-Camera Meteorologists), and segment openers from when the channel debuted in 1982 through 1999. There is also audio clips of the music that is used on The Weather Channel's local forecast (now called Local On The 8's), detailed history and timeline about the channel, and "flavor" line-ups of the local forecast. The people who run the site are Matt Marron and Charles Abel, who have been fans of The Weather Channel since the late 1980's or early 1990s.

The site was first know as Matt's Guide To The Weather Channel, which debuted in 1997. It first only contained music clips and brief information about The Weather Channel. Then, in 2003, another person (Charles Abel) created a Weather Channel-related site that had an unknown name (the address was twchazz.com). That site contained some video clips of the channel and more. In August 2004, Charles' and Matt's site merged and became "TWC Classics". In the past year, the site has became very popular and has been mentioned a few times on news articles. In November 2006, it was annouced that Charles was going to leave the website due to personal reasons. Several months later, the site switched back to the older format that existed before TWC Classics merged with TWChazz.

TWC Classics also has a message board, where anything about The Weather Channel, including the music used on the local forecast, on-camera meteorologists, can be discussed.
