Trip (Band UK)

Trip was an English rock band that was formed in Winchester, United Kingdom in 1989.
The band consisted of Cave Samrai (Vocals), Richard Williams (Guitar), Peter Harvey (Bass) and Jonny Templeton (Drums).
The band was signed to MCA Records and managed by self styled 'Sikh Turban Warrior' former New Musical Express journalist and founder of Sheffield's Fon Records Amrik Rai. The band released an EP ('the Birth EP') on South Side records in 1990 and contributed the song 'Chill Out Jack' produced by Daniel Lanois at Real World Studios to the eclectic Soundtrack of the Terry Gilliam film 'The Fisherking' in 1991.. The band played extensively in the UK including a University tour with Birmingham's 'Birdland'. The music writer Oliver Gray wrote about 'Trip's' career in his book 'Volume' (and charted their performances in his extensive gig guide) the first edition of which featured singer Cave on the cover.
