Travis Schanafelt

Travis Robert Schanafelt (born 6 December 1983) is an American adventurer and photographer.

Personal life
Born in Fontana, California on December 6, 1983, Travis' family moved to Riverside, California, where he spent his early childhood. With Southern California being a mecca for adventure and his family being avid campers and off-roaders he was exposed to exploration at a young age. In November 1994, moving once again to Mesa, Arizona he began to collect National Geographic magazines which fueled his passion for travel and photography. Once his family settled, they began to travel in and around Arizona.

In 2002, Travis graduated from Dobson High School and entered into the work world.

Feats and Record attempts
Travis has been involved in several solo and team based feats and attempts.

Expedition North America
On July 29th 2007 Travis departed on a ten week solo expedition crossing the continent of North America in his purpose build expedition vehicle.

Global Expedition 2010
Travis is preparing his next adventure, to drive around the world scheduled for 2010. He is also fabricating a custom vehicle, based on a 2001 Ford Ranger to take on his expedition.
