Transpositional modulation (TM) is a proposed new RF modulation technique developed and patented by Richard Gerdes. In his 2015 patent, By this time, the development of Gerdes's work on Transpositional Modulation had been taken over by TM Technologies, Inc., a company founded to develop TM intellectual property "spun off" from Medusa Scientific.<ref name=":1" /> TM Technologies, Inc. has announced its intention to introduce products this year which are based on elements in that 2015 patent.
